The Soto
San Antonio, TX
The SOTO is Texas’ first mass-timber office building. The building is a LEED mixed-use development that features office space, restaurants, retail shops and entertainment designed for a modern workforce and local residents. One of the building’s distinctive characteristics is its multi-tenant office spaces that are built over raised floors, which supports underfloor air, power, and data distribution.
Our team has been engaged to complete MEP design for (10) tenant buildouts within the building. We are well versed in under floor air distribution systems and the challenges that come along with these designs; Ensuring the discharge air temperature is suitable for under floor air distribution system.
Keeping the aesthetic of this beautiful building was a priority and required some resourceful engineering, especially with the plumbing, to be successful.
The Soto has won a 2022 U.S. Woodworks Wood Design Award for Regional Excellence.
