Texas State University JCK Building

Texas State University JCK Building

San Marcos, TX

Our team was engaged to provide a site assessment and design for the JC Kellum building at the Texas State campus in San Marcos, Texas. The site assessment forecasted the future scope of work for renovation of the Level 1 Lobby, site lighting and building entrance, and the Level 11 office to banquet hall conversion. In late 2022, we were secured to provide the design of the 14,800 SF Level 11 banquet space, using the existing MEP infrastructure, and providing additional MEP systems and equipment as needed. Our electrical team designed site lighting, entry lighting, and lighting for the entry canopy. The HVAC, plumbing, power, and lighting were all updated to meet the enhanced features of the space. Revit 3D modeling/ BIM was utilized to streamline and assist with the tight construction schedule.
